Pharmacy Fast Track
3+4: An Accelerated Track to Your PharmD Degree
A joint pathway of NYSCAS of and Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP), the pharmacy fast track allows you to earn a bachelor's and a PharmD degree in less time, at lower cost.
• Thirty credits of graduate-level courses count towards both the Bachelor’s and PharmD degrees
• Shorten the time and expense towards earning your PharmD degree
Requirements
- Minimum cumulative and science GPA: 3.0
- Applicants are required to have taken the PCAT exam within the last two years
- Candidates are required to submit three letters of recommendation:
- One from a healthcare professional
- One from a science professor from whom you earned a grade
- One from the Pre-health Advisor
- Applicants must submit a PharmCAS application and participate in the TCOP Interview Day process
- Completed prerequisite coursework. At the time of enrollment at TCOP you will are required to have completed a minimum of 90 undergraduate credits. They must include these prerequisite courses:
- Biology with lab (8 credits)
- General chemistry with lab (8 credits)
- Organic chemistry with lab (8 credits)
- Microbiology with lab (4 credits)
- Human anatomy with lab AND Physiology with lab (EACH 4 credits, total 8 credits) OR Anatomy and Physiology I AND II, each with lab (EACH 4 credits, total 8 credits)
Physics with lab (4 credits) - Biochemistry (3 credits)
- Calculus (3 credits)
- Economics (micro, macro or general accepted) (3 credits)
- English Composition (3 credits)
- English Oral Communication/Public Speaking/Speech (3 credits)
- Humanities (6 credits of English Literature/History, Philosophy, Ethics)
- Social/Behavioral Science (6 credits of Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology)
