Brent Cutler graduated SUNY New Paltz with a B.A., cum laude in 1979, from West Michigan University / Cooley Law School in 1983 (J.D.) and earned a Master’s with distinction from Pace University in 1986. In 1987 Cutler received a Professional Diploma from Pace University. After law school Cutler became the Assistant Review Officer for Suspensions for the N.Y.C. Public Schools eventually becoming the Review Officer and head of the unit. Cutler then became the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent & Director of Communications for School District #9 in the Bronx. Following that Cutler was an administrator for Auxiliary Services High Schools. During his time with the N.Y.C. School System Cutler taught as an adjunct at Touro, the College of New Rochelle, Sacred Heart University, Monroe College, and Audrey Cohen College. At the College of New Rochelle Cutler was a part time Administrator and at Audrey College Cutler was the Coordinator of the Business School’s Bronx and Queens week- end programs. After retiring form the New York City Public Schools Cutler developed the Paralegal Program at Touro and opened the program in 2011. Brent Cutler presently serves as director of the paralegal program, coordinator of NYLink, and Freshman Center Programs and is an Assistant Professor. Cutler sits on the SUNY New Paltz Foundation Board, NAMI, The Bronx Provider Board for Bronx Psychiatric Hospital and the New Paltz Alumni Board.
