Gerald David, Ph.D.
Department Chair, Human Services, Associate Professor
Dr. David has doctoral degrees in psychology and philosophy. He has a Diplomate in Forensic Psychology and is a licensed clinical psychologist. Besides being the department chair of human services and assistant chair of psychology, he has previously worked in the areas of special education for the NYC Department of Education as a school psychologist and chairperson of committees of special education, foster care, group homes for the developmentally disabled, grant preparation and program management, community organization and administration and forensic psychology. His forensic psychology practice dealt with families in NYC, New Jersey and Rockland County Courts and with divorce arbitrators. He has been a clinical director at Ohel and Mishkon agencies. He is currently the chairperson of human services for Touro College and assistant chairperson for psychology at SCAS.
He is an associate professor of human services at Touro College. He has received numerous awards and citations from the City of New York, New York State Assembly, Borough President of Queens, Community Board Service awards and from Yeshiva University. He has published a book and professional articles.
