Dr. Wong is board certified by the ANCC in psychiatric mental health. A native of New York City, she studied biomedical sciences and psychology at City College of NY, CUNY with minors in both Asian and Jewish Studies. She subsequently earned her MBA degree in health care administration while attending medical school and used her knowledge towards nursing education and patient care.  She pursued her second doctorate in nursing practice and based her research on the role of the advanced practice nurse in the “Implementation of Post Transcranial Magnetic Therapy Treatment Follow up in Monitoring Treatment Resistant Depression.”  Dr. Wong is a recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award for her outstanding service to clients with developmental disabilities in group homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.  She is also the director of education at the largest private psychiatric practice of Hudson Valley, NY where she oversees clinical placements of nursing, physician associate, and medical students. Prior to joining Touro, Dr. Wong was an associate director and clinical faculty at Pace University, Leinhard school of nursing and part of the clinical research team at New York Medical College. A dedicated educator, she was presented with the excellence in teaching award by the inaugural nursing class of Touro NYSCAS.
