Reizy Shmulewitz has been teaching at Touro College in SCAS and LAS since 1985. With a B.A. from Brooklyn College in Biology and English, an M.A. from Hebrew University in Literature and a second M.A. from Touro College Graduate School of Jewish Studies, her courses include all levels of English as a Second Language, College Writing, Survey of Modern Literature I and II, World of Work, American Culture and Ethnic Studies. Ami Living magazine serialized her work ‘Out of the Depths’ this past year. She is currently finishing her manual for Hilchos Taharos Hamishpachah instructors. She volunteers as a docent and gardener at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and as a mentor for prospective converts. Her oldest son and daughter graduated from Touro College, and her husband is Menahel of Beis Medrash L’Talmud at LCM Queens. The Shmulewitz’s are an all-around Touro family!
