Joan Pantin, M.A.
Adjunct Professor
Professor Joan Pantin is a graduate from Kingsborough Community College (Music Major), Hunter College (Music/Education Major), Brooklyn College (Education Major), Fordham University (Administration and Supervision MSA) and Northcentral University (Leadership Master’s Degree).
She is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at Fordham University and a member of the Alpha Delta Epsilon Chapter at Northcentral University.
She worked for the Board of Education for thirty years. She was the recipient of the VIA 2000 scholarship award and attended Fordham University obtaining her School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) license and School District Administrator(SDA) license. After obtaining her degree, she became an Assistant Principal and worked in that capacity for ten years.
During the thirty years with the Board of Education, she was afforded the opportunity to attend ‘Creating A Mini Opera’ workshops at the Metropolitan Opera House and then produced a ‘Mini Opera’ with her class for the school. She was also in charge of the ‘Young Astronauts Program’ at her school and has conducted numerous Reading and Writing workshops for the district, her school and private institutions.
She is an active member of the Education Committee at her church. She is also a member of the Lions International Club and the Chairperson of the Reading Action Program for the said club.
Professor Pantin has been presented with numerous awards and certificates for her dedication to the teaching profession and for mentoring students to achieve their goal as educators.
