Cheryl Dym, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Psychology
Dr. Dym earned her B.S. from Brooklyn College, City University of New York and her Ph.D. in Neuropsychology from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Her graduate work examined the neuropharmacology of the reward pathways of food in mice and she is the author of several publications in this area. She is also a licensed psychologist with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism. Dr. Dym completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she participated in the investigation of issues surrounding the assessment, diagnosis, and genetics of autism. She has also taught in several colleges in the New York City area and is excited to use her extensive experience to teach and mentor NYSCAS students in the areas of neuroscience and psychology.
