James Dardouni has been teaching writing and literature courses at Touro College for 36 years. He served as the coordinator for the developmental English program from 1986 to 2010, and served on grading and curricular planning committees over his full-time tenure. Additionally, he taught at the Brooklyn Center of Long Island University for 20 years. He is an ordained Zen priest in the Rinzai sect of Buddhism, and has been a student and teacher of martial arts for 48 years. Currently, he is collaborating with his teacher on a book about Tao or “Way.”
