Professor Bardwell has worked at Touro since 2009, teaching various courses in communication, event management, and information literacy and serving as the Director of General Education for Touro’s New York School of Career & Applied Studies (NYSCAS). She was also an instructor of strategic management and communication at the Touro Graduate School of Business (GSB) from 2012-2019. She earned an MFA from Rutgers University and a BFA from Stephens College. She completed the Leadership Academy at Touro University (LATU), a nine-month training program in professional development for leadership and management.                   

At NYSCAS, she serves on numerous Touro committees, including for Project STRIVE, general education, faculty senate, women’s leadership council, graduation committee, Lander Center Holmes Scholar Search committee, and more. She is on the Richard Green Communication Advisement Team and the Women’s Leadership Council, and facilitates workshops.

Professor Bardwell regularly contributes to the Speech Communication LibGuide for NYSCAS as well as to the Strategic Management and Communication LibGuide for Touro GSB. She is also a writing and presentation coach for salutatorians and coaches and advises students’ graduation speeches and college entrance interviews.

Prior to Touro, Professor Bardwell was the Senior Operations Manager for Scholastic and the Director of Special Events at the New York Historical.
