At NYSCAS, we're committed to your success from your first day of class through your first day on the job.
Our nursing students get personalized support, hands-on learning experiences, and the preparation necessary to pass the NCLEX and launch a nursing career.
Outstanding Student Outcomes
- NCLEX pass rates: NYSCAS nursing graduates consistently pass their licensing exams on the first try. The first-time pass rate for our 2024 graduating class was 92.31%.
- Employment success: 100% of our nursing graduates find employment within their first year.
- Career readiness: Our graduates work at hospitals, medical offices, specialty clinics, nursing homes, home care agencies, and public health departments across the New York metro area.
These outcomes reflect our commitment to small class sizes, personalized attention, hands-on clinical training, and individualized coaching.
Personalized NCLEX Preparation
Throughout the program, all your activities and assignments are intentionally designed to prepare you for success with the NCLEX exam. All NYSCAS nursing students receive one-on-one NCLEX coaching in their final semester. Your coach will:
- Assess your readiness for the licensing exam.
- Identify areas where you need support.
- Provide personalized study strategies.
- Review challenging content areas.
- Build your test-taking confidence.
This individualized approach helps explain our high first-time NCLEX pass rates.
Academic Support Services
If you need assistance, please ask, and we will provide it. In addition to support with specific courses, starting on your first day, you’ll have extensive access to, and support from, your professors. Our faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:13 in a classroom setting ensures that every interaction is personal. Our small clinical placements are on average 1:5, allowing for close supervision and individualized instruction.
We see you holistically, offering mentorship and peer support programs tailored to the specific needs of each cohort so you receive additional guidance and resources for your academic and professional success.
Beyond the classroom, NYSCAS offers many student support services to help you succeed:
