Willie has worked at Touro since 2002, where he started as a substance abuse instructor. He has held the position of Wellness Counselor since 2003, helping students problem solve challenging life issues outside academics.
Prior to Touro, Willie worked in counseling for more than 15 years at organizations in the New York City area. His varied experience included managing the Rockland County Drug Court and supporting recently released inmates living in halfway houses, patients with HIV and AIDS, and clients in treatment-alternative programs.
Willie is a leader in his church and has held executive roles in the National Black Alcoholism Counselor Inc. He is a former marine.
