Nasser Sedhom earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and his MD from Alexandria University. From 1989 until 2003, he served as Medical Officer in Charge in the North Batinah Region Sultanate of Oman where he was responsible for two hospitals and health centers.

From 2005 until 2023, Dr. Sedhom was the dean of the division of health disciplines at ASA College and chairperson of the school's medical assisting program.
