Professor Kunz is an Assistant Professor and Deputy Chair of the Department of Mathematics. He began his academic career as a college administrator and instructor in management, quantitative analysis and mathematics at St. John’s University and Monroe College before moving to Touro in 1993.

At Touro, Professor Kunz has taught all levels of math, managed the NYSCAS math curriculum, and supervised instructors. He has also served on numerous committees and task forces, including admissions, faculty development, and education teams, and has acted as a mentor for the Freshmen Mentor Program. Professor Kunz has also helped design agendas for Faculty Day, presented numerous seminars to faculty, and taken part in dozens of development programs.

Outside of Touro, Professor Kunz taught undergraduate and graduate math, economics, accounting, and other courses at eight schools in New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. He has designed original courses about several disciplines, written a text for a graduate course in business ethics, created online courses, and served on various quality assessment teams.
