Dr. Ishler holds a PhD in political science from the University of California, Irvine, a master's degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Berkeley. His interdisciplinary political theory research draws on American politics, international relations, comparative politics, and history with the aim of developing a new explanation for how states interact in the international arena.
