Giuseppe Infante is a poet, writer and educator from Brooklyn, New York. He earned a B.A. in English and an M.F.A in Creative Writing, both from Long Island University, and won the Esther Hynemen Award for Poetry in 2012. Joe— as he is known by most around campus— teaches College Writing courses and is the Resource Center Coordinator at the Avenue J and Starrett City campuses. Outside of Touro College, he is one of the founders and managing editors at Overpass Books, a small press publishing poetry, fiction and art. He is also an editor of The Otter— a bi-monthly online magazine dedicated to poetry, fiction, art and more. Several poems of his are published in Brooklyn Paramount, Downtown Brooklyn, Poems by Sunday, visceral brooklyn, amongst other journals and magazines, and in his first collection, ways of dying naked in mexico city (Overpass Books, 2012).
