Milton Schiffenbauer, Ph.D.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Milton Schiffenbauer received his Ph.D. at New York University with a major in microbiology. Schiffenbauer retired from Pace University as professor emeritus in 2009, and became Chairman of the Touro biology department. Since then he has continued his research studies in Microbiology. His research interest involves the antimicrobial effects of white tea and he has set up a microbiology laboratory in Touro College with undergraduate students assisting in his research. Several of Schiffenbauer's past research students have continued their education on to many professional graduate programs.
