Ms. Sophia Volfson serves as Director of Academic Advisement and Counseling for NYSCAS at Touro College. Ms. Volfson is a licensed social worker in the State of New York, and holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Touro College. Her prior position in Touro College was Director of Academic Support Services. Before joining Touro College in 1991, she earned a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Economics and Civil Engineering in Minsk, Belarus. Ms. Volfson worked as a Vice President of a sportswear corporation and as an adjunct professor at a College of Civil Engineering. Ms. Volfson also holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Touro College and completed a number of courses in education. Additionally, Ms. Volfson represents the College as a member of the Committee on Academic Standing, the Curriculum Committee, and the Graduation Committee.
