Dr. Kalam Chowdhury is an adjunct at New York School of Career & Applied Studies (NYSCAS) Medical Imaging Program at Harlem Hospital Center . Dr. Chowdhury Earned his MD in 1989. He is involved in teaching Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS), Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) and related radiologic sciences since 2005. Teaching is his passion, currently he is the Program Director for, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Cardiovascular Technology at another institution. Dr. Chowdhury is also a specialist for DMS & CVT program at Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). He has written numerous test items for American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) specialty exams. He is an active member of American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS). He has served as a member of SDMS CME committee. Dr. Chowdhury is an expert is developing syllabus and lesson plans on sonography and related sciences.
