During her break from school, Edwards worked in a managerial capacity in the Dollar Tree stores before transitioning into a teaching assistant position at a local Bronx school. “You go from lining up products to changing diapers,” laughed Edwards. Edwards decided to finish her college degree and is considering attending graduate school for a master’s degree in education. What does she hope to gain from her time at NYSCAS? “I’d like to develop new friendships and develop a new understanding of the basics of life,” said Edwards.
