Finance

The finance concentration examines the role and operation of the financial sector of the economy.

Students develop an understanding of the role of finance in business, and the management of assets and liabilities by both individuals and financial institutions. This concentration prepares students for careers in both public and private enterprise, including commercial banking and investment firms, non-profit organizations, and government agencies.

BS students concentrating in finance take courses that will prepare them for the theory portion of the national Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examination of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.

The finance concentration classes below are in addition to the general Business Management and Administration major requirements.
